p.s. i didn't actually want to be in them, but after huge difficulty sourcing a model...and then a model pulling out... I just decided to style myself, and as they were my clothes they fit! Primarily I didn't want to use any face shots in the final images, so as to create a surreal guy bourdin-esque shoot, yet as we wanted to convey an element of elitism in the shots it was hard to divulge this emotion without seeing any facial expressions.

The Final Countdown..

Before and after I edited the shots on adobe photoshop cs3:
To create a more vivid and eye-catching look I changed the hues, saturation, colour gradients, exposure and shadows.

That Green Dress..

Of all the films I have watched, the one piece of wardrobe I have loved beyond belief is the green dress worn my Keira Knightley in Atonement.
It is strikingly elegant, and just oozes femininity and poise. I saw a similar backless green dress and knew I had to buy it for a ball or a shoot...and our 'society girl' theme was just the right occasion. The final and unedited images of the shoot are below, along with the wardrobe and accessories.

"Amazing Grace"

Another Inspiration for our shoot is the stylist and creative director for US Vogue, Grace Coddington, pictured above with US Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
A former model herself, she knows how to direct and style an editorial perfectly. All her shots are very narrative...they all hold a story, an ambience, an effective use of colour and an element of glamour.

Fashion Rocks

I have a folder on my laptop dedicated to inspirational and awe inspiring fashion images. Whenever I see a fashion image that captures my eye, I put it into the folder and although the image count now exceeds double figures...i thought I would share my favourites with you...

Most of the Images I have saved from rooting through 'Model Mayhem' as that's how i keep in contact with photographers and Make up artists that I have worked with when I model.
You can have a nosey at some of my embarassing photos if you like..
